Website owner regularly need to track their visitor or find out where are the visitors came from. Emails receiver also does the same thing to find out who sent the email. Both website visitor and email sender leave information which is called IP Address or internet protocol address. IP address is a series of number for example 72.14.213.99, every computer has IP address.

You might be wondering how to find more information about IP address, a technology called Reverse IP lookup can do it for you. In order to perform Reserve IP lookup you must first obtain the IP address of website visitor or email sender, for web owner, you can find it in website control panel and look for website log facility and for email receiver you can find ip address in “view full headers” or “email properties”.

After you have the IP address, you can perform Reserve IP lookup by using online tool in whois.domaintools.com, place the IP address in the end of domaintools url http://whois.domaintools.com/72.14.213.99 then it will display resolve hostname and all other information about the IP address as you see in picture below.
